For future generations to enjoy the Moos as well

The "Moos" is a jewel in nature that is no longer to be found very often. We make every effort to ensure that it stays that way. Our efforts currently include:

  • tips_and_updates

Save electricity: Wherever possible, energy-saving LED lamps are installed in the houses.

  • thermostat

Economical heating: The "Moos" is still heated with fossil fuels. In order to heat more efficiently, we have fitted the apartments with thermostatic valves. Normally a point above "2" yields a good result. And: Temperatures below 20° bring a real mountain hut feeling and a good night's sleep! :-)

  • recycling

Recycling: There are recycling bins in the basement of the large house for glass, PET bottles and paper. Behind the big house there is a compost for easily decomposable green waste (please no coffee filters and the like).

  • arrow_upward

Upcycling, repairing: The equipment in the "Moos" is more likely to come from a second-hand store than from IKEA.

  • local_shipping

Short distances: If something new has to be purchased, locality (Goms, Switzerland, Europe) is given higher priority than price (China) wherever possible

  • solar_power

Energy renovation: Our aim is to renovate the Moos in terms of energy and make it CO2-neutral. However, this will take a long time and a lot of money. Your stay at the Moos will help us to achieve this goal. So thank you very much!

  • train

Public transport: If you can manage it, you should travel to Moos by public transport. The journey is more relaxed + more beautiful, and the connections are good (see Arrival).
